Maestro Comes to Class

Arie Lipsky has been the conductor of the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra since the year 2000. This program invited the conductor to the schools and has him guest conduct the orchestra or ensemble. The students get a chance to work with someone who is famous and well respected. This engages their attention and they tend to try harder. The students also get to ask him questions about his job and what it is like to be a conductor.
